Born in Montreal and raised in Minnesota, I worked for 3M Corporation for 20 years. My husband was hired by a yacht builder and we moved aboard a 56-foot boat to travel the waterways of the eastern U.S. and work the boat show circuit. A magazine editor read an excerpt from my cruising journal and assigned my first magazine article assignment in 2003. Since then, a couple hundred of my stories have been published, many of which include my photos. I served as the editorial director of Southern Boating Magazine from 2011-2019, when I relocated back to Minnesota and built a home on the family property my great-grandfather bought in the late 1800s. I now write screenplays from my home office overlooking the Mississippi River valley, conduct LIST dating workshops, and manage an AirBNB (https://www.airbnb.com/h/rattling-springs).
